Tucked away in the bustling market of Jwalapur (Bahadarabad Block), in the sacred district of Haridwar, stands a school with innumerable number of success stories etched in its red-bricked walls — PM Shri G.G.I.C. Jwalapur. Established in 1957, this government-run institution has quietly shaped generations of young minds. Its broad gate opens to almost 1700 girls from Grades 6 to 12 every April when the new academic session begins. The all-weather road leading to its campus, the greenery and each of the 25 classrooms and offices are standing tall since long and are a symbol of the school’s resilience. Here each classroom echoes with voices in both Hindi and English, and a well stocked library of 2,500 books is waiting to be explored. With a playground under the open sky and a computer lab glowing with 29 functional systems, this school isn’t just a building — it is a space where learning meets purpose, and history meets hope.
